The Famous Coconut Shake at Klebang, Malacca (Melaka).

Sunday, July 22, 2012

Under the hot sunny day, after the 'A Date With The Bloggers' event at Malacca...we (with Robin) decided to look for some drinks that can really ease the thirst! Robin suggested the Famous Coconut Shake at Klebang and without a second words, we drove directly to the destination.

The Klebang Original Coconut Shake (N2.21583 E102.20688) is located next to the Caltex Petrol Station along the main road. You will not miss it if you take note on the petrol station.

Once we arrived at the stall, the queue was Long! My goodness! It was under the hot sun....

We realized later, the long queue at the stall was for those customers who want to 'ta-pao' (take away), there's a dining area is loacted further in at the end of the alley...

The area was packed with customers! It took about 5-10 minutes to get a table and waited for 15 minutes for the Coconut Shake....while waiting for the drinks, we tried the nasi lemak pack (RM1.20) which was not bad!

The nasi lemak available at the Klebang Coconut Shake.

Here is the Coconut Shake Special! With additional scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream on top of it.

I like the concoction of the Ice with ice-cream, coconut drink and the flesh. Refreshing! The taste was not over sweet with the nice fragrance of the coconut drink and some flesh. It's special and a 'life saver' under the humid hot day!

The process looks simple, they blended the drink with the a lot of ice cream and pour into the mixer. The magic is within the mixer!

The cost of the drink was RM2.00 and RM1.50 for without the scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

It's really reasonable price for the unique Coconut Shake!

Famous snack - Keropok Lekor around Cherating, Kuantan - Pahang.

Friday, July 13, 2012

Once we checked out from The Legend Resort Cherating, we did some shopping on the local foods at Chiang Kee stall (N4.02990 E103.39848) along the Cherating main road...follow by hunting for our favorite 'Keropok Lekor' around the area...

Keropok Lekor is the kind of snack which made from the fish with mixture of salt and flour. The snacks are high in protein because of the fish and famous at Terengganu area - East Cost of Malaysia.

At first, we stopped at this little stall (N4.06262 E103.38995) along the road, we unexpectedly grab 'all' Keropok in this stall! Before I had my share...Oh! My goodness!

The Keropok Lekor stall along the main road

Then we saerched for another stall (Cap Kren Stall N4.09474 E103.38220) which was about 200 meter away and grab the balance...everyone was happy! We bought 2 packs which cost MYR20.00, each of it has 10 sticks.

The lady wrap it nicely...

There are 2 types of Keropok Lekor available, the one at above was steam and the other type is deep fried. I would prefer the deep fried type because of the crispyness! :)

Sometimes I saw this snacks are also available around Johor area, but I never try it...but my teammates said it will be fresh and delicious at Cherating or Terengganu area compare with others states in Malaysia...what do you think?! :)

Do drop by and buy some of it if you pass by Cherating, you might like the fish taste of it! :)

Famous Mee (Noodle) Soto of Pasir Gudang, Johor

Monday, April 6, 2009

This small little stall is hidden at the corner of Jalan Pantai of Kampung (Village) Pasir Putih. (N1°26.092' E103°55.772') If you familiar with the Rahmat Restaurant which is famous with it's Deep Fried Fish, this stall is located on the same street.

(If you drive from Johor bahru, once reach the junction of Johor Port...another 2.7km - turn right into Kampung Pasir Putih. Then drive until the end of the street and turn right, it's at the end of the corner.)

The Mee Soto stall has started business at least 30 years history from now...

The Mee Soto Restaurant of Kampung Pasir Putih

I found this stall is unique because of the setup. It's a Malay traditional wooden house and the height of the entrance is about only 6 foot, and the ceiling of the restaurant area is about 8 foot height.

The entrance of the Restaurant

I ordered the original taste of the noodle. I felt the specialty is the 'Soup', which is different from others. And it's just mixed with slices of chicken, that's simple! But it's GOOD and satisfied!

Another specialty is the chili that they provided...it's in green colour. But I forgot to snap the green but accidently shoot the Red chili... :(

The Red Chili

The damage was : MYR2.50 for the noodle & MYR1.00 for the drink.

If you are happen at that area, drop by and give a try!
